Job Responsibilities
The Payroll Supervisor ensures that all processes are executed appropriately and in a timely manner. Operates as the subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve issues and continuously looks for improvements in operational processes and designs and implements those initiatives. Conducts work planning, estimation and prioritization to optimize performance of team and works with Director, Payroll to define standards and reusable approaches for Payroll operations.
Position can sit 100% remote in most US locations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
- Minimum of 7 years of payroll experience.
- Experience with handling 4000+ employees for payroll
- American Payroll Association CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification)
- Working Knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow
- Must have intermediate excel skills- Vlookups, Pivot Tables minimum
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to effectively supervise team members and work as a member of that team and organize work activities for other members of that team
- Understanding of Payroll, Tax and garnishment laws
- Demonstrated coaching/mentoring skills and issue management problem solving skills
- Organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; appropriately communicates with all levels of employees
- Ability to adapt to changing environment
- Ability & interest in training other team members
Salary and Benefits
Salary Range for this position: $66,000- $157,000.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside in California and most states. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
