  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Field Process Etch, Clean & Deposition Process team
  • Understand key customers’ technology roadmaps, process flow, inflection points, requirements and business issues / challenges. Identify areas where Lam can value-add.
  • Professionally represent the company to the customer. Develop and maintain good customer relations, assume accountability for continued customer satisfaction with process solutions/initiatives provided within assigned territory, site or function.
  • Work with customer to identify business opportunities which include: -
    • Understanding the customers’ needs
    • Positioning company’s product and technical value
    • Working with Account team to develop penetration and defense strategy
    • Co-ordinating with Global Product Group on product demonstration
  • Manage penetration and defense projects, including: -
    • Support Account team to develop project strategy of penetration and defense
    • Drive local and corporate team to execute the project within the committed timeline and resources
    • Competency and manpower resources management
    • Customer engagement and management
  • Support the transfer of technology / BKM from mother fab 
  • Serve as a valued and trusted subject matter advisor and partner the customers (both internal and external) in executing to the technical solutions to develop and enhance customers’ perception of Lam.
  • Provide region deposition technical leadership to handle customer issues which include providing productivity solutions to the customers and/or providing process support for installation activities.
  • Work with Global Product Group, Account Team or Global Account Team to drive technical solutions
  • Complying with Lam's Escalation Policies and resolve escalation with Region Product Support.
  • Maintain company’s assigned equipment (computer, tool kit, diagnostic test equipment, spare parts etc) in good working condition, secure and accounted for
  • Responsible for the safety of engineers assigned in identifying hazardous service environment and provide continuing safety training to the engineering team.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor
  • Direct and supervise the day-to-day work & projects of his direct reports.
  • Manage competency & manpower resources within etch/clean team to fulfill the need among different customers.
  • Responsible for the annual Performance Management & Development exercise of his direct reports.
  • Responsible for the training and development of his direct reports.
  • Develop and mentor high-potential personnel to continuously build a stronger team as well as provide opportunities for qualified internal personnel.


Qualification                    :

  • Engineering degree or equivalent

Work Experience            :

  • 8 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry with the last three years in a people manager role
  • Strong process knowledge on Dry Etch and Thin Film deposition; Good understanding of the semiconductor industry and customers
  • Good understanding of semiconductor process integration will be an added advantage
  • Keen sense of technology development and market trends

  • Strong customer management and project management skills


  • Possesses strong inter-personal and communications skills. Experience in dealing with difficult internal & external stakeholders. Has ability to drive solutions towards the goal


  • Commands good oral and written English


  • Has ability to work on one’s own and make decisions within the assigned area of responsibility
