Responsible for software engineering software development lifecycle activities, including:


1.       Project planning and management, requirements analysis, and requirement specification. Software design, software testing, verification, validation, and documentation. Software quality assurance and review techniques and software maintenance.  Manages the Halo Software program to include

a.       New feature developments [50% time] – Functional requirements are submitted from Technology/Engineering for review and finalize.  Goes through the full software life cycle development from design, implementation, unit test, integration and alpha test phases.  Also engages SQA in the Software Requirement phase so that they will be ready to design and execute the test plan at beginning of alpha

b.       Support customer escalations [30% time]– in parallel with project development, shares the responsibility with his team to support escalation from field .  These include participating in conference calls with key stakeholders to under problem statements and work with them to address root causes and closure plans for customers

c.        Defectivity improvement [10% time] – Also assigned software problem reports against ALTUS products.  He will schedule the closure plan based on the priority of his assignments and communicate it to the originator of the issues

2.       Technical and Admin meetings [10%  time]

    1. Object oriented analysis and design feasibility analysis and system requirements determination, object-oriented design methodology, and information systems design using object-oriented modeling techniques.  Applies this fundamental methodology to his project assignments.  As part of project development requirement, would schedule technical review with software team to ensure optimal approach to the solutions
    2. Operating systems design concepts of system calls and structures. Management of major components: processors, memory, input/output and files.  Design systems calls and device drivers for hardware dependence. Concepts of kernel and shell, file protection and interactive computation.  Similar to line item #2. a, applies this knowledge in assignment design for optimal solution
    3. Algorithms and data structure object-oriented data organization and representation as strings, arrays, stacks, queues, lists, sets, trees, tables, and graphs. Similar to line item #2. a, applies this knowledge in assignment design for optimal solution
