Job Responsibilities
Sr. Manager, Ethics & Compliance
- This position will be part of Lam’s legal department based in South Korea and will support the Ethics & Compliance team in building and implementing Lam’s ethics and compliance program across the region and globally.
- Collaborate with the ethics and compliance team to develop, revise and train on policies and procedures
- Lead effective compliance framework implementation and establish effective tracking and monitoring processes to ensure Lam’s compliance program is effectively locally
- Manage investigations and reviews concerns raised through the Ethics & Compliance helpline or other channels
- Partners and work closely with local leadership and other functions globally including Human Resources, Internal Audit, Security and other business units.
- Provide strategic advice and consultation to business teams on ethics and compliance issues
- Support the team in building Lam’s Anti Bribery & Corruption program and manage ethics and compliance risk with third parties and suppliers including conducting due diligence activities as needed
- Work with business functions across the company to develop and implement ethics and compliance training and facilitate trainings and workshops for employees
- Assist on various projects to ensure Lam’s policies and programs are fully implemented and effective
- Develop and implement training and communications to raise awareness in the region and ensure consistent application of ethics and compliance policies
- Keep current with emerging compliance issues and trends and provide subject matter expertise in South Korean laws and regulations
Qualifications
Qualifications
- University Law degree or equivalent and legally qualified (either Korea or US) with minimum 12 years’ experience in the legal profession with substantial experience in a corporate compliance function
- Individuals working in a law firm in governance or litigation roles would be considered
- Willingness to develop legal compliance expertise and regulatory knowledge in other APAC jurisdictions
- Ability to build strong partnerships with stakeholders in the company
- Solid command of the importance of core values and integrating compliance into everyday work
- Solutions driven with an ability to work cross functionally to understand and resolve compliance challenges.
- Investigative skills and experience in managing cases, conducting interviews and drafting reports
- Self-starter with critical thinking skills and ability to multitask and engage teams proactively
- Demonstrates excellent judgement, business acumen and professional presence
- Ability to exercise strict levels of confidentiality and integrity
- Highly organized and detailed oriented and geared towards professional progression
- Korean and English language skills essential
