The Impact You'll Make

The position of Asset Operations Program Manager is responsible for the strategic success of the North American IT asset management program.  The manager is responsible for leading a team of approximately 10 people to provide new hire computer imaging and issuance, stockroom management/accountability, computer refresh, and budgetary responsibilities.  The team is split between two locations, Fremont, CA and Tualatin, OR and this manager will need to be capable of leading people, both in person and virtually.  This position does require up to 10% travel.

    

The Asset Operations Manager will lead their team in systematically managing thousands of computers in North America throughout the lifecycle including delivery of new devices, issuance to end users to finally retirement and disposal.  Accountability of these assets is critical to the company and this manager must be detail-oriented and able to work closely with their team to provide guidance and correction.  Teamwork, innovation and continuous improvement are core values of Lam Research and this manager will be expected to work with the Service Now team to improve processes and workflows around asset operations.   

 
 

What You'll Do

  • Excellent written and spoken abilities  
  • Proven abilities in leading IT professionals to meet requirements and deadlines  
  • Significant experience in IT asset management in Service Now 
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented  
  • Positive team player with employees at all levels 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize frequently changing needs 
  • Strong understanding of data analysis, advanced problem solving and decision-making 
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint  
  • Strong understanding of project management best practices  
  • Consistent self-starter requiring minimal direction 
  • Ability to follow corporate and GIS policies for confidential Lam and Lam customer data 

Who We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience is preferred) 
  • At least 5+ years of experience with leading projects and people 
  • Experience with IT Asset Management 
  • Experience with Service Now platform 
  • PMP or similar project management experience
