Job Responsibilities

• Develop design for cost methodologies in a cross-functional environment with Design Engineers, Supplier Engineers, Supply-Chain Managers, and suppliers

• Evaluate designs to estimate cost, identifying cost drivers

• Collaborate on cost reduction and cost avoidance strategies
• Work with the team to improve “should costing” capabilities within the group.  

Qualifications

• Three+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience estimating “should-cost”
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings
• Familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes
• Strong analytical skills
• Requires professional written/oral communication skills and ability to communicate cross-functionally at all organizational levels
• Proficiency with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

Additional skills and abilities beneficial for this role include experience with CAD tools; project management and Team Lead experience; experience working with global suppliers; and a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
