The Impact You’ll Make

The Director, Configuration Management will play a crucial role in ensuring customer orders are delivered with high quality to the customer requested specification. This individual will lead a global team that is responsible for creating Sales Order BOM configurations from quotes and non-standard requests (NSR’s). The role will engage globally and cross-functionally with stakeholders across product groups, sales operations and global operations to develop processes and execute error proofing techniques that ensure zero defects to the customer.

What You’ll Do

  • Reports to the Managing Director of Order Management and Execution (OM&E) and will have ownership for Configuration Management across teams in the US, Malaysia, Korea, Taiwan, India and Villach
  • Responsible to drive performance for On-Time as Committed shipments, On-time to Manufacturing Commit Date, meeting Customer demand to requested need dates, and Configuration Quality and Accuracy.
  • Drive achievement of organizational goals, culture & core values through delivery of cross-functional objectives and people strategies.
  • Work with internal business partners to ensure configuration management processes are robust and high quality to ensure customer configuration expectations are met.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders in Sales Operations, Product Management, and Global Operations to drive continuous improvement in order fulfillment processes to improve competitiveness in meeting customer needs and product lead times.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree, Masters (MBA, Engineering, Supply Chain or other Operational discipline) preferred  
  • 10-15+ years in relevant operational disciplines, with cross-functional experience in a global environment. 
  • Strong working knowledge of BOM Management processes, configurable products order management, MRP, and manufacturing operations is required .
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must, excellent executive presence  
  • Strong business acumen, relationship skills and the ability to speak with data  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor, aerospace, health care or similar industries is preferred.   
  • Experience leading a global team through a period of significant change and growth is preferred 
  • Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into locally relevant operational plans  
  • Ability to influence in a matrix organization across Business Units 
  • Agility – the ideal candidate actively prioritizes and manages through multiple priorities, quickly and smoothly  
  • Able to identify opportunities for value-creating/positive change, can craft a vision and architect a change strategy in collaboration with multiple stakeholders  
  • Ability to set and manage accountabilities and expectations at all levels, acts quickly to resolve conflicts  
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time and work across time zones especially with Lam factories in the U.S., Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia and Austria
