The Impact You’ll Make

Responsibilities may include a combination of the following: Hardware Development: Directs, leads, and manages the technical activities of a hardware development function for electronic design, mechanical design and/or hardware reliability. Software Development: Directs, leads, and manages the technical activities of a software development function for software systems, applications and/or software quality assurance.  Systems Design: Directs, leads, and manages the technical activities of an integrated hardware/software systems design function.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage an electrical engineering team
  • Oversee design development of R&D and CIP projects for Deposition Product Group modules.
  • Guide a team of electrical engineers through development and implementation of electrical systems to planned schedules and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement electrical engineering best standards, practices, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to align project goals and objectives
  • Accountable for applying engineering methods to design and development of complex electrical systems and sub-systems.
  • Ensure designs are complete, good quality, and adhered to Lam standards.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to develop a engineering team.
  • Work closely with product management to align and execute determined project priorities.
  • Support field escalations and supply chain efforts as necessary.
  • Contribute to functional specifications for highly complex electrical/ electro-mechanical systems and power distribution components.
  • Assess and conduct performance evaluations and support the growth of the team. 

Who We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experienced in developing functional specifications, system requirements, and test plans.
  • Comfortable in AC/DC design, analog/digital circuits, and application code (FW) methods.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills to lead and mentor engineers.
  • An understanding of industry standards (SEMI and NFPA-79).

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
