FAST Team (Facilities And Setup Technician)

FAST Team performs system facilities connections for systems crossing to Production Test from Production Final Assembly in a timely manner to prepare system for quality testing. Pit Crew personnel will land power connections to systems local power box (LPB), connect PCW H2O lines, gas manifold connections to the gas box, and clean dry air (CDA) for pneumatic systems. Systems will have energies applied and verified safe prior to hand-off to Production Test technicians. 

Primary Duties:

  • Land power cables to LPB by following process and procedures established
  • Continue with ongoing training required for electrical, CPR, and hazardous energy controls (LOTO)
  • Review systems for quality issues prior to crossing system from assembly to test department
  • Perform continuity checks on electrical systems
  • Reference current release of documents that govern work duties
  • Follows standard work processes
  • Communicates effectively with relevant departments to close open issues with tools before facilitizing
  • Maintain daily record of activities


Secondary Duties:

  • Cross train with other departments (i.e. Leak Check, Rework etc.) to diversify skillset
  • Assign systems to open bays dependent on production schedule
  • Assist Dry Ops Support with other tasks when necessary
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, refining procedures and reducing cycle time


Skills Required:

  • 2+ years relevant work experience in construction, A/V, wiring, plumbing or other related field working with hand tools
  • Preferred experience working with hazardous voltages
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency, MS office suite
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • Ability to lift to 35 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to work on the ground and on ladders
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to accept and support changes made by management
