Job Responsibilities

The Operational Technology Lead will be responsible for technology, security, and process guidance for the Tualatin Manufacturing plant.  The focus of this role is to support end-users, manage all OT-related manufacturing infrastructure and provide effective OT systems to maintain manufacturing production targets for the facility.  They will provide oversight of the Tualatin manufacturing infrastructure (network services, computer systems, file storage services, IoT, Azure Cloud, Industry 4.0, etc.), and define, execute and monitor overall delivery, reliability and performance of the infrastructure and services which directly impact the plant's success.  The successful candidate will collaborate and innovate with stakeholders and global team members to develop and implement secure technology solutions in support of the plant’s manufacturing efforts.  Provides leadership to junior support staff and guides priorities in day-to-day activities.

  • Work with business partners to determine direction and identify opportunities for automation and process streamline
  • Monitor and report system, network policy and cyber-security related non-compliance to Fab Manager
  • Collaborate with global manufacturing OT peers
  • Ensures GIS-approved projects and directives in support of business requirements are implemented in a timely manner, tracks and reports progress as required, and escalates to management when customer expectations cannot be met.
  • Provide management/support of all computer & network equipment in the manufacturing/logistics infrastructure
  • Act as a point of contact for IT services, business needs, and vendor management
  • Monitors performance and makes appropriate tuning changes
  • Utilize approved procedures to ensure that hardware and software are deployed, implemented, and supported per business requirements and aligned to company standards/policies.
  • Utilize GIS Change Control model when applicable to document the overall status of the Manufacturing Fab environment, including Asset Management\Tracking; Align to Corporate Change Control Board and Vendor\Supplier requirements as necessary.
  • Participate in GIS projects to test, pilot and/or implement new hardware and software as necessary in support of Manufacturing Fab activity\requirements.
  • Other duties and functions to be as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of experience supporting an enterprise heterogeneous computing environment in areas of specialty
  • Excellent communication skills that facilitate productivity and collaboration among manufacturing fab customers, GIS and other Lam support organizations, and outside IT vendors
  • Bachelors’ degree in a related area or equivalent work experience is required

  • Prior experience working in manufacturing fab environments is a strong plus.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as moving and lifting computer and other equipment as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Operating System\Platform Support
    • 2 - 4+ years of hands-on experience installing and configuring Microsoft Windows Servers, Windows 7, XP and legacy NT devices, and Unix / Linux computers
  • Network connectivity Administration.
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing connectivity infrastructure (including remote) and services.
    • Experience with end to end connectivity troubleshooting and resolving end-user connectivity issues
    • Proven track record of IoT, Automation and OT enhancements
  • Security / Access Control Administration
    • Understanding of Security Infrastructure best practices
    • Experience with Regulatory Compliant Standards: ISO 27001
    • Experience supporting an OT technically diverse security infrastructure: Access Control, PKI Infrastructure, Firewalls, Anti-virus, etc.
    • Understanding and knowledge of security frameworks
  • Cloud Experience
    • Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Services
  • General
    • Excellent End User Support skills and problem-solving skills
