Manufacturing Engineer 4

Job Responsibilities
- Works closely with manufacturing and product engineering in the coordination of new products builds
- Reviews new designs and makes recommendations to design engineering on manufacturability improvements
- Tracks and verifies labor hours and aligned with the program vision. Make recommendations to reduce direct labor hours and cycle time
- Makes recommendations for fixturing and process requirements for new product lines
- Ensure new product designs will fit into existing operation sequence and make recommendations to reduce the critical path
- Makes recommendations for outsourcing vs building sub-assemblies in house
- Supports first time builds at outside suppliers for outsourcing activities. Approximately 5% travel prior to COVID

Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a minimum of 6-8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar field
- Outstanding analytical, verbal, and written communication skills that will enable the candidate to positively influence multi-level, cross functional teams
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies as they apply to Low volume/high mix products
- Must be well-versed in Microsoft Office products, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. CAD experience or training strongly preferred
