As a member of the Lam Research Global Workplace Solutions GWS) team, the candidate will be a key contributor to Lam’s Corporate Social Responsibility team. In this role, they will provide energy conservation goal-setting recommendations and will own and be responsible for data collection to confirm that Lam Research is on track globally to meet or exceed energy conservation reporting goals.


This position will provide the energy, water and waste management data used in Lam’s annual corporate social responsibility report and will participate in the development, review and validation of the final corporate social responsibility report content. The candidate will own and drive short- and long-term utilities forecasting, obtain proposals and prepare documentation that support negotiation of direct access service agreements for natural gas and electric service at Lam’s existing and new facilities.


  • The candidate will manage Lam’s global energy and water conservation projects, identify new projects, conduct audits and support development of a strong business case that results in committed funding for new projects.
  • The role will include oversight of project execution to ensure the project meets the Corporate commitments, and confirm the energy saving upgrades at all sites are on track to meet corporate and social responsibility goals.
  • The candidate will provide technical leadership and guidance supporting the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities; plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs; designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department and Lam corporate departments;
  • Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion;
  • May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing environmental, health and safety standards related to facility operations, utilities consumption and energy forecasting.
  • Engineering degree and relevant industry experience required



  • Promotes GWS employee commitment and engagement throughout the company
  • Ability to succeed on any type and size of utility conservation program
  • Able to lead a site, cross-site or international team to delivery company-wide business impact
  • Seeks opportunities to coach, mentor and develop employees across the company
  • Champion of change to the internal company; actively contributes to all internal meetings focusing on utility and resource conservation and opportunities to drive CSR deliverables forward


Skills and Experience

  • Provides innovative solutions across multiple domestic and international programs; achieve the status of a trusted technical advisor with internal customers and key stakeholders
  • Able to independently provide strategic guidance to Lam leadership
  • Initiates plans that drive Lam CSR utility and resource conservation results
