The Impact You’ll Make

Oversees the technical support of company customers by field engineers, technicians, and support specialists, who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing one or more of the following: complex electro/mechanical equipment, sophisticated computer systems, software systems/applications, or networking and wireless networking systems. Supervises engineers that respond to situations where standard procedures have failed to isolate or fix problems in non-functioning equipment systems or software. Establishes and maintains lines of communication with design engineering and software development on design, reliability and maintenance issues. Ensures that engineers are current with the latest upgrades and/or new releases. May be involved in customer installation and training programs. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

What You’ll Do

Manages and develops team of engineers providing technical support tasked with diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems. Supervises engineers that respond to situations where standard procedures have failed to isolate or fix problems in non-functioning equipment systems or software. Establishes and maintains lines of communication with design engineering, process technology and software development on design, reliability and maintenance issues. Reports new or recurring problems to design departments.  Acts as a single point of contact for customers and field teams to improve product installation, I&W costs and product productivity.

Works in conjunction with Lam product management group to identify resource requirements to meet release timelines for product / process introductions.

Delivers technical presentation to customer and users.

Managers support team responsible for generation and release of technical documentation, manuals, technical bulletins and retrofit procedures

Primary focus of this position will be identifying and tracking key issues driving installation and warranty spending at key customer sites.  Working with product management, engineering and process teams to drive necessary projects to reduce overall I&W spending YTY in line with corporate objectives.  

Who We’re Looking For

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4-6 years of management experience of a global product support group in the semiconductor industry.
