The Impact You’ll Make
Using your knowledge of technology and engineering principles, you will oversee the planning, development, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations. You'll tackle technical, quality, and production challenges. You will drive execution and accountability through strong leadership practices and relationship building with other teams supporting the factory. You will be responsible for employee development plan and performance reviews, ensuring criteria are met for promotions or termination. Lastly, your leadership and expertise in optimizing manufacturing costs and standards helps shape Lam's commitment to innovation and efficiency in manufacturing.
What You’ll Do
- Support and model personal safety practices/protocols by demonstrating proper use, addressing safety related issues, and enforcing written policies
- Verify employees are current and up to date on required training by checking in Lam training partner and/or other training compliance reports.
- Address tool line down issues to keep manufacturing up and running. Lead and coach the team to use root cause and analysis tools to prevent repeat failures.
- Partner with other teams (MFE, Quality MFG, and Training) to execute product improvement projects, continually addressing failure points and trends to improve cycle time and labor hours.
- Work closely with Pilot for new product transitions, ensuring our build process is documented and MFG is ready for the new product.
- Work with other Lam factories for product transition and BKM-sharing. May require domestic and international travel.
- Clear written and oral communication on project status, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Encourage teamwork by modeling and follow through with positive communication, feedback, and problem-solving behaviors while honoring Lam's core values.
- Manage employee's performance goals and development plan, with regular tracking and review.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline required, with 5-8 years experience in engineering leadership.
- Experience in capital equipment manufacturing, preferably in semiconductor
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience in structured problem solving and process improvement
