Work and Industry Experience

Engineering: demonstrated experience in product development; JMO

Supply Chain Management: 2-3 years commodity management in applicable materials

Responsibility/ Business contribution

 

  1. Support role for technical program manager in achieving product cost and quality targets. 
  2. Works within defined supply chain to source new parts.

Cost Management

  1. Perform product cost rollups using released software tools.  Analyze product cost performance and report status and issues.
  2. Assess status of commercial quoting completeness; drive corrective action where activity incomplete.
  3. Understands should cost concept and executes to cost allocation methods in partnership with senior MPM

Product Sourcing

  1. Source parts within defined supply chains.  May develop the Product Sourcing Strategy & Supply Chain Plan for the program or execute plans created by more senior MPM.
    1. Demonstrated understanding of supplier classifications of MTL-1030.
  2. Product Transition: Lead product/assembly transition from Pilot Manufacturing to remote factory or outsource supplier
  1. Knowledge of FAIR/POR/PRR/sell back
  1. Early supplier involvement
    1. Demonstrates effectiveness in influencing product design decisions based on various input

Critical & CE! Parts Management

  1. Ensure critical parts are sourced with approved suppliers or appropriate deviation approval obtained (PR).
  2. Manages FAIR/POR completion using released software tools.
    1. Drives completion consistent with PDR requirements by contacting accountable Supplier Engineer.
    2. May present status during PDR reviews and CFT meetings. 
  3. Limited exposure to CE! projects

Lead Time Management

  1. Identifies parts exceeding target lead time using released software tools and reports product lead time issues to lead time reduction CFT
  2. Identify longer lead parts during JDP/Beta phase and communicate to the product group in order to pre-drive development parts and mitigate material lead-time

Skills

 

PS&DM

  1. Participate in PS&DM teams at supervisor's direction

Presentations

  1. Construct and present status of deliverables during CFT and PDR reviews using defined templates.  Preview material and message with supervisor or mentor MPM prior to PDR reviews.

Product Knowledge

  1. Basic knowledge of assigned Lam product functions and structure
    1. Limit engagement to single product group, modular or sub-system programs
    2. Ability to identify parts impacted by engineering programs by researching product outside of CFT meetings
    3. Ability to identify critical parts within a BOM

PDR

  1. Complete PDR training (<3 months of hire)
  2. Ability to identify MPM PDR outputs and explain purpose/importance relative to PDR milestones
    1. Limited demonstration of SIPCO relationships between MPM and other PDR team member tasks

Manufacturing & Purchasing Processes

  1. Able to describe the purchasing process for a single part over the phases of the development lifecycle (47xx,45xx) and R&Rs of participants.
  2. Limited exposure to Lam manufacturing processes (Pilot, Production/HV).  Expected ongoing development of knowledge of pilot processes & R&R.
  1. Define EPO-1006 deliverables for MPM and develop plans for completing consistent with Pilot Manufacturing Plan.
  2. Understand processes and tools for demand management (URBP, 1A / SBOM, Zcooltool, ZSOSEZ, ZERF006, ZR383)

Commodity Knowledge

  1. May have detailed knowledge of an individual commodity.
  2. Ability to identify content experts and develop product sourcing plans and risk assessments for feature level program under direction of senior MPM.
