Job Responsibilities

As Senior Manager of Executive and Employee Communications for Lam’s Corporate Functions, you will play a critical role within the corporate communications organization to create and execute innovative, strategic communications programs that span channels and formats, align with business objectives, and clearly represent Lam’s brand and reputation goals.

You will lead executive and internal communications for our Corporate Functions, which include Human Resources, Legal, Corporate Communications, and Finance organizations. You will develop and execute strategic communication programs to inform, engage, and inspire key audiences and support achieving the organization’s goals. The ideal candidate is someone who can operate as both a strategic thought-partner and team lead who can create, align, and implement global communications programs.

You will lead a team supporting employee communications for these groups, as well as develop and execute thought leadership platforms for executive leadership. By forming trusted relationships with executive leadership, you will develop a deep understanding of their business imperatives to deliver strategic counsel and impactful and effective communications programs and events. 

You will be managing a team and driving communications across the HR portfolio including Total Rewards, Engagement, Inclusion and Diversity, Learning and Development, and HR Services as well as build an external thought leadership platform for Lam’s Chief Human Resources Officer. Additionally, you will manage communications for our social impact program, aligned to our guiding principle to ‘Act with Purpose for a better world.’ Finally, you will support communications for Lam’s Ethics & Compliance initiatives, patent innovation programs, and other similar Legal-driven initiatives.  You will also support Finance communications, such as Payroll and some CFO communications. 

In partnership with subject matter experts, you will create and deliver highly effective content and messages that achieve the desired outcome. This is an ideal role for an exceptionally strong writer who has a passion for creating compelling and creative content, with a keen eye for detail and solid experience in supporting the communications of executive leaders. •    Develop and execute a strategic internal communications plan that aligns to each Corporate Function’s overarching strategy.
•    Design communication strategies and programs to support both proactive and reactive communications to employees and other audiences. 
•    Develop close partnerships to advise, produce, and implement internal communication campaigns.
•    Support C-staff in their executive communications, including Board of Directors decks, keynotes, organizational announcements, video scripts, talking points, and other similar materials as needed.  
•    Create and execute to communications strategies, including employee engagement through webinars, social media, and events, as well as develop digital content for multiple platforms, supporting internal and external activities. 
•    Build and organize internal comms systems and processes to keep stakeholders colleagues aligned on communication priorities and work with them to craft a cohesive messaging strategy for their programs.
 

Minimum Qualifications

Job Qualifications & Key Competencies
•    Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Affairs, or related field
•    12-15 years of previous corporate executive communications experience within multi-national public companies
•    Proven experience in leading Human Resources and Corporate Functions Communications efforts and/or change management communications 
•    Extensive knowledge of HR programs and initiatives 
•    International business and communications experience
•    Experience leading or supporting communications and messaging platforms for senior-level leader or C-Suite executive preferred
•    Knowledge of internal communications strategies and channels specifically in working with C-Suite executives
•    Manage intake, consultation, and delivery processes to ensure deadlines are met and information is provided to executives in a timely fashion
•    Demonstrate critical thinking skills, challenge the status quo, and recommend unique approaches to executive and employee communications.
•    Passion for engaging in new and innovative communication channels and methods to drive breakthrough audience experiences
•    Quickly understand complex business issues to distill messaging for diverse audiences
•    Ability to wisely invest resources (people, time, and budget) to maximize impact
•    Work without significant oversight and follow through to impactful execution
•    Prowess handling multiple projects, prioritizing, and acting with a sense of urgency
•    Strong team spirit, positive outlook, and sense of humor
•    Must be a US resident
•    Ability to travel up 15%
