Lam Research is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to be part of a dynamic Global Information Systems (GIS) team partnering with Lam’s Global Operations – Order Fulfillment Management (OFM) function. This position’s primary responsibility is the management of strategic initiatives, programs, and regular operational services that GIS provides. This leadership role will be responsible for working across multiple groups, functions, and geographies within Global Operations (GOPs) and GIS to successfully deliver business value. This individual will need to have excellent communication skills, determination, and perseverance to be successful.

 

The Impact You’ll Make

The position requires a broad experience across core technology services, platforms, and systems along with extensive experience and functional knowledge of Order Fulfillment processes, functions, opportunities, and challenges. The person in this role is the owner of OFM enterprise technology solutions and provides leadership for those involved in the design, development, deployment, support and continuous improvement of multiple technology platforms & solutions that runs the OFM function at Lam.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the global GIS OFM Team to support business objectives and ensure structures and processes are in place. 
  • Translate the BU Executive vision into strategy and work towards execution.
  • Set and maintain strategy for Systems and Services in support of OFM, ensures the optimization across Operations and Lam.
  • Engages with business leaders and senior executives to deliver business unit commitments.
  • Collaborate in a matrixed environment to deliver services and solutions to business needs.
  • Interact, influence, and align with all levels of Lam leaders and executives while delivering solutions and services.
  • Assist in vendor selection and management of outsourcing and software agreements. Manage vendor engagements both within GIS and with the BUs for resources and services.
  • Develop business agreements; report on GIS performance for services, programs, and KPIs; improve partner satisfaction scores YoY.
  • Manages budget, resource capacity plans and work schedules for the team.
  • Builds a high performing team, elevates the team’s skills aligned to organizational needs and individual goals.

Who We’re Looking For

You must have the following to be successful in this role:

  • Strong functional and technology background in following (or similar) platforms - SAP ERP systems (ECC and S/4, preferably), esp. Advanced Variant Configuration, Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM); Advanced Planning Systems (APS) platforms such as SAP IBP, Kinaxis RapidResponse, etc.; and custom home-grown applications.
  • Deep functional and fundamental knowledge of Lead/Opportunity management, Customer & Sales Collaboration, Demand Configuration & Management, BOM Management, Production Planning & Sequencing, Materials Management, Production Order Execution, Inventory Management, Customer Risk Management & Analytics
  • Experience in managing a diverse global cross-cultural team, directly and in a matrix organization and a global set of stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of Operations business and technology experience.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Supply Chain & Operations or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of Fulfillment Operations processes, challenges, and opportunities in a high value, high complexity, Configure-to-Order (CTO)/Engineer-to-Order (ETO) discrete manufacturing business.
  • Technical development experience across various SDLC, Agile & Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong cross-group collaboration skills and experience working across multiple teams both within the division and across the company.
  • Excellent interpersonal, human relations, written, verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple, and often competing, issues at the same time.
  • Ability to work independently or with limited direction.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management experience.
  • Technical development experience across various SDLC, Agile & Scrum methodologies.
  • Sound understanding and experience with SAP S/4 implementations and its integration to other best in breed solutions.
  • Business process design
  • WFE or discrete manufacturing industry experience with ETO/CTO/MTO business model in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Exposure to BI and advanced analytics platforms, e.g., MS Power platform.
