Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing reliable and scalable automation solutions using out of box thinking. The right candidate will possess a strong hands-on automation technical background and is passionate about SW quality, has demonstrated strong capability in building test automation frameworks, components and test fixtures.

  • Design, build, and maintain test automation solutions that are robust and scalable
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define automation solution for new features
  • Reponses to situation where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software
  • Responsible for data analysis by using system/history logs to correct issues and implement prevention in a timely manner
  • Oversees Installation and validation of software and hardware upgrades
  • Leads projects related to improving equipment uptime and reducing interrupts with the use of KPI data
  • Patriciate in new project/feature review. Automate the project to test functionality and document the result
  • Creates standard recovery procedures and troubleshooting documentation

  • Ability to travel domestically, and internationally


Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering or electrical engineering; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience

  • Proficient in two or more of the following programming languages: C, C#, C++, Java, SmallTalk, Python
  • Familiar with Network, Serial Device Control, and IO Control Systems;
  • Preferred experience with industrial automation software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with Network, Serial Device Control, and IO Control Systems;

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external project stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate technical details both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work across cross cultural settings and globally distributed projects
  • Preferred experience with industrial automation software
  • Preferred experience with Semiconductor Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, and Factory Automation a plus
