Role & Responsibilities

This is a senior position as part of the Global Supply Chain Management leadership team at Lam Research responsible for improving customer trust through the quality of parts, systems and services from our suppliers.  The candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of supplier quality including supplier risk assessment, supplier development to Lam global standards, supplier continuous improvement, incoming quality assurance, failure analysis and escalation response.  This is a high visibility position that requires a seasoned and well-rounded candidate with extensive experience in semiconductor wafer fab equipment sourcing, supplier quality management, supplier development and business acumen.  


Duties (including but are not limited to):

  • Supplier risk assessment and development for a multi-billion dollar supply chain including supplier management capability, financial assessment, warehousing, operations, business acumen, scalability, strategic planning, compliance and ethics
  • Monitoring and management of supplier quality performance
  • Benchmark, develop, implement, and improve supply chain processes and infrastructure to support supplier quality and scalability
  • Drive innovation in efficiency and effectiveness of how we characterize and manage risk in the supply chain, monetize and prioritize those risks and hold suppliers accountable for managing them as part of the value they supply to Lam
  • Work with Lam internal stakeholders on supplier core competency  development  
  • Drive the improvement of suppliers’ quality and manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and supply continuity

  • Experience in semiconductor equipment supply chain management and manufacturing engineering.
  • At least 20 years of working in the Semiconductor supply chain Industry
  • Solid understanding of equipment and component manufacturing processes
  • Solid understanding of supply chain processes, sourcing, supplier development, supplier quality management, quality management systems
  • Experience in managing global and regional suppliers
  • Creative and strategic thinking
  • Strong problem solving methodology
  • Effective verbal, written communication and presentation / program management skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Global Geo-vision, self-driven, and results oriented



Master or Ph.D degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Engineering, with preferably an MBA
