Job Responsibilities

The Customer Support Business Group (CSBG) is one of the fastest growing businesses at Lam, driven by Lam’s strong market share in semiconductor equipment, and the longevity of its systems in mature fabs. The Spares Product Line is a linchpin of CSBG’s revenue, and an important segment for Lam. This role will fill a critical need for marketing leadership in the Spares Product Line, developing our strategy and value-selling capability for the huge portfolio of ~200,000 SKUs. The role is highly cross-functional, focused on interacting with the Product Groups and the field throughout the Product Development & Release Process and Product Lifecycle to understand and sell the value of our Spares.


Spares Business Strategy and Roadmap

  • Work with Product Group Marketing, CSBG Marketing, Spares Product Management, and Spares Business Development to develop the Spares Marketing Strategy and Roadmap, with a focus on customer needs and Lam’s growing Equipment Intelligence efforts.
  • Develop new Commercial Products and Contract Structures to meet customer needs while locking in Spares market share and profitability.


Spares Messaging and Value-Selling for Market Share Defense

  • Own the Spares “Value-Selling Initiative”, working with Product Groups, Spares Business Development, and Account Teams to develop analysis, messaging, and associated collateral to articulate the value of Lam Spares and develop it into an effective tool for market share defense.
  • Own the Spares Product Portal, developing and maintaining it as the key communication platform between Fremont and regions, with up-to-date catalogs, collateral, and roadmaps.
  • Work with Spares Business Development to ensure alignment between Fremont Spares and Account Teams on roadmaps, collateral, and market share defense.


Product Development and Release (PDR) Process Marketing Requirements

  • Be a key partner with Spares Product and Marketing Managers to review and help define Spares requirements in the Product Vision throughout the PDR process.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in STEM subject and 10+ years Semiconductor Industry experience
  • Excellent collaborator & communicator, forms cross-functional partnerships to get things done
  • Ability to lay out clear messages and value propositions in clean and concise collateral
  • Strong project management capability, able to track and drive multi-faceted projects forward
  • Strong comfort level in Excel, able to execute basic market analysis in a hands-on fashion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with one or more families of semiconductor equipment, in either deposition or etch
  • Product or technical marketing experience is highly desirable
