Job Responsibilities

General Position Summary:
Responsible for allocating Dry Operations Support labor hours to meet production/test schedule; troubleshoot complicated issues and escalate situations through proper paths; complete employee performance reviews ensuring criteria are met for promotions or terminations. Attend meetings and write correspondence with management, engineers, vendors, customers to meet production goals.
Responsibilities:
Supervisors apply skills including active listening, writing, personnel coordination, compiling sources of data to decide what action to take to maintain a production schedule. They orchestrate labor and supplies within budgetary considerations to reach full production capacity.

Dry OPs Support Supervisory Tasks:
● Manages employees in support of Facilities Kits, CTU – Central Tooling Unit, and SWIC – Software Installation Center to ensure transparency with high-volume manufacturing environment.
● Manage employee time cards through WorkNexus and KRONOS.
● Address materials issues by following proper escalation paths through PSS/warehouse supervisors/production meeting escalations.
● Review release schedule, capacity and engineering owned issues by utilizing SAP, receiving management input and visually assessing the floor capacity.
● Compute estimates for labor reduction and continuous improvement by developing and presenting proposals/projects to managers.
● Review generated records of employees’ attendance and hours worked by creating an employee profile; and provide requested information to management for promotions, reprimands, conversions and bonuses.
● Use Employee Connect to calculate raises, transfer employees, goal tracking and performance reviews, open job requisitions, complete terminations, convert employees and submit bonuses/awards.
● Assess performance of employees by checking with peers, reviewing assigned goals, verifying that they have signed off on their ITP’s, check Training Partner to ensure they’ve completed required training.
● Manage employee performance by documenting, coaching and communicating desired behaviors; work with management and HR to suggest corrective action which could result in verbal, written warning or termination.
● Manage the ordering of parts, materials, and equipment by utilizing team members/planning/engineering or by generating purchase requests in SAP, SharePoint, ERF, or Ariba.
Safety Protocol:
● Educates team on safe work environment by wearing Clean Room Grade Protective or Safety Equipment (safety shoes/glasses/gloves/hearing protection/hard hats) and partake in safe practices (hoist/poor placement of tools/cords/ladders/cones/barriers/gantry).
● Must be able to squat, kneel, walk, climb, stand, and reaching outside neutral for over 50% of the time as well as the ability to lift 35 pounds.  Additionally, must be able to distinguish colors for electrical wire identification.
● Investigate and document accidents, injuries, and illnesses by generating incident reports in EHS site and initiate meetings on corrective action.
● Support and model personal safety practices/protocols by demonstrating proper use, addressing safety related issues and enforcing written policies; Inspect and monitor work area by completing RMBWA's and entering data in EHS website.
● Verify employees are current and up to date on required training by checking in Lam training partner and/or other training compliance reports.

 

 

Other Job Responsibilities

Communication:
● Communicates in English both written and verbal.
● Encourage team work by modeling and follow through with positive communication/problem solving behaviors while honoring Lam's core values. Support employees by allocating time to listen to concerns, get a status report of how they are progressing, providing positive feedback, rewarding with gift cards and bonuses; and present opportunities for improvement to encourage personal/professional development. Provide the opportunity to share time saving techniques/possible resolutions by presenting issues at impromptu or on the floor meetings.
● Prioritize shift start activities by reading emails/receive passdowns/communicate with management/receive and delegate tasks/assess the floor; receive goals/projections/updates by participating in staff meetings with management; generally, confers with other supervisors to coordinate operations/activities within or between departments.
● Attend/participate in production meetings by preparing notes/presenting findings on recent ETS events/engineering issues/milestones at risk/NCis/tools launching/tools crossings/line downs/pre-ship status; Communicate floor activities/safety events/quality information/forecasts/timelines by generating charts/reports for staff/management by utilizing Office suite programs and conduct quarterly meetings and reviews. Participate in Core meetings to drive material, taking notes/find materials/investigate NCi's/counter to counter STO/rework PO/tool to tool transfer.
● Assign and adjust labor allocation/activities based on work priority/material availability/ship .date/skill of personnel by reading information provided in passdowns and emails. Monitor flow of production/address troubled systems by delegating personnel to help with troubleshooting.
● Addresses internal customer escalations by reviewing related documentation or performing your own test case and define root cause for corrective action; Obtain and clarify company policies and procedures for employees by being a conduit of communication and escalating issues to HR if required; Communicate escalations by writing emails/making phone calls/sending text messages/having face to face meetings.
● Coach continuous improvements projects in association with Lean Six-Sigma problem solving methods that are made available to all employees. Leverage the training and materials readily available to establish disciplined problem-solving skills amongst the team.

 

Minimum Qualification

Education and/or Experience:
● Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
● Minimum of Associates degree required

 

Preferred Qualification

● 0-1 year of previous supervisory experience
● 2-4 years of experience in the semiconductor capital equipment industry
