Job Responsibilities

The Lead Systems Administrator will be responsible for technology, security, and process guidance for the Tualatin Manufacturing plant.  The focus of this role is to support end-users, manage all operational technology-related manufacturing infrastructure, and provide effective OT systems to maintain manufacturing production targets for the facility.  They will manage the oversight of the Tualatin manufacturing infrastructure (network services, computer systems, file storage services, IoT, Azure Cloud, etc), and define, execute and monitor overall delivery, reliability, and performance of the infrastructure and services which directly impact the plant's success.  The successful candidate will collaborate and innovate with stakeholders and global team members to develop and implement secure technology solutions in support of the plant’s manufacturing efforts.  Provides leadership to junior support staff and assigns/manages priorities in a day to day activities.

  • Ensures GIS approved projects and directives in support of business requirements are implemented in a timely manner, tracks and reports progress as required, and escalates to management when customer expectations cannot be met.
  • Management/support of all computer & network equipment in the manufacturing/logistics infrastructure
  • Develops, implements, and maintains roadmap for all computer devices in the Manufacturing Fabs, consistent with GIS polices and manufacturing groups business requirements
  • Collaborate with global manufacturing OT peers by hosting sessions
  • Provides 24x7 on-call troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Provides 1st-level and 2nd-level support. Act as single point of contact for IT services and escalations. Interfaces with IT vendors when issues cannot be resolved internally by GIS
  • Monitors performance and makes appropriate tuning changes
  • Utilize approved procedures to ensure that hardware and software are deployed, implemented and supported per business requirements and aligned to company standards/policies.
  • Utilize GIS Change Control model when applicable to document overall status of the Manufacturing Fab environment, including Asset Management\Tracking; Align to Corporate Change Control Board and Vendor\Supplier requirements as necessary.
  • Participate in GIS projects to test, pilot and/or implement new hardware and software as necessary in support of Manufacturing Fab activity\requirements.
  • Other duties and functions to be as assigned.
  • Monitor and report system and network policies related non-compliance to Fab Manager
Minimum Qualification
  • 5-7+ years of experience supporting an enterprise heterogeneous computing environment in areas of specialty.
  • Excellent communication skills that facilitate productivity and collaboration among manufacturing fab customers, GIS and other Lam support organizations, and outside IT vendors.
  • Bachelors’ degree in a related area or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Demonstrated safety focus
  • Prior experience working in manufacturing fab environments is a strong plus.
  • Proven leadership skill.
  • Consistent self-starter requiring minimal direction
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize frequently changing needs.
  • Work as a team player with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to follow Corporate and GIS policies for confidential Lam and Lam customer data.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as moving and lifting computer and other equipment as required
Preferred Qualification
  • Operating System\Platform Support
  • 2 - 4+ years of hands on experience installing and configuring Microsoft Windows Servers, Windows 7, XP and legacy NT devices, and Unix / Linx computers
  • Network connectivity Administration.
  • 5+ years of hands on experience managing connectivity infrastructure (including remote) and services.
  • Experience with end to end connectivity troubleshooting and resolving end user connectivity issues
  • Proven track record of IoT, Automation and OT enhancements
  • Security / Access Control Administration
  • Understanding of Security Infrastructure best practices
  • Experience with Regulatory Compliant Standards: ISO 27001
  • Experience supporting an OT technically diverse security infrastructure: Access Control, PKI Infrastructure, Firewalls, Anti-virus, etc.
  • Understanding and knowledge of security frameworks
  • Excellent End User Support skills and problem-solving skills
