Acts as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) interface between  the Supplier Materials and Technology (SMT) Group and the Deposition Product Group in the Lam-Tualatin, OR location.  Represents SMT at program and design reviews, aligns technical and supplier roadmaps, contributes input for key initiatives, and provides support for technical escalations in a cross-functional environment.

 

SMT is a global organization that innovates in manufacturing technology, materials technology, and supply chain design by developing suppliers to meet Lam’s quality, delivery, and total cost requirements for next generation semiconductor process equipment. 

 

The duties of this position include:

  • As a representative of SMT, interfacing with key teams within Lam including technical product groups and global operations to resolve escalations and accomplish initiatives.
  • Influencing decisions and company driven objectives within internal and external groups to achieve company goals.
  • Providing seamless interface with SMT global commodity heads to Tualatin-based product groups
  • Providing leadership to supplier engineers within Lam Tualatin as a cross functional team leader
  • Organizing and owning internal and external Review Meetings with SMT and Product Groups
  • Authoring and implementing new and updated Business Processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency in product development and release to the supply chain
  • Presentations/communications to senior executives internal and external to SMT

 

Examples include:

  • Resolving supplier-related quality issues where the root causes include both design and supplier components. 
  • Collecting failure data from Lam business systems and creating Paretos, and engaging stakeholders to drive issues to closure
  • Contributing to FMEA reviews by using past experience and historical data to prevent issues on new products
  • Owning strategic SMT initiatives that involve Deposition Product Group stakeholders
  • Leading the closure of supplier capability gaps as defined by Tualatin-based product groups.
  • Leading Tualatin-specific supplier quality CIP initiatives
  • Attending staff meetings of internal customers to determine the best engagement points for SMT in their projects; reporting results to internal stakeholders
  • Sharing BKM's from the Semiconductor and Semiconductor Equipment industries with Supplier Engineers

 

This position reports to the head of the SMT Department and the candidate will interface and manage projects that span multiple global teams within the SMT organization.  This is a technical-track position with potential for advancement.

 

Education: Minimum BS in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or equivalent.  Advanced degrees strongly preferred.  

8+ years experience managing technical programs and projects in the Semiconductor or Semiconductor Equipment Industry.

Proven track record of managing projects and escalations to completion on time while accomplishing goals

Energetic and goal-oriented

Excellent communication verbal, written, presentation, and organizational skills.

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional environment

Build credibility with stakeholders and leverage influence to achieve technical and operational goals

Ability to align cross-functional teams across multiple departments to achieve goals

Ability to track and organize multiple concurrent activities
