Job Responsibilities

Technical Instructor – Tualatin Operations Practical Training


Lam is committed to protecting the health and safety of our employees. Our manufacturing facilities follow strict guidelines including social distancing protocols, temperature scanning, and workstation sanitizing between shifts.


The Tualatin Operations Technical Instructor is responsible for the training environment in New Hire Orientation (NHO). Their primary focus will be training New Hires, maintaining content, and ensuring training equipment is available for use.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Instructing the onboarding training in New Hire Orientation
  • Setting up the classroom and ensuring a standardization for the room
  • Adding updates to the training material in New Hire Orientation or will support the primary New Hire Orientation Instructor during those efforts
  • Facilitate communication between Environmental Health and Safety regarding Safety Tours on the Manufacturing Floor
  • Maintain and request training equipment used in New Hire Orientation’s Workmanship Standards
  • Supports escalations in New Hire Orientation
  • Assists in tracking assessments in New Hire Orientation
  • Support the creation and maintenance of assessments in New Hire Orientation
  • Maintain an engaging environment with New Hires that supports Lam Core Values

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Workmanship Standards training Material
  • Provide feedback from New Hire Employees to maintain current training material
  • Provide Training Team list of each weeks New Hire Orientation list
  • Develop on boarding plan for new Practical Training Team employees

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a learning & development environment, sales, customer service or manufacturing environment
  • Capable of inspiring trust and confidence through effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional training content development; delivery and facilitation skills with a naturally high impact presence
