Technical Program Manager position opening is in PECVD Business Unit of Deposition Product Group (DPG). DPG has a proven track record of constant innovation that has resulted in a market leading suite of technology enabling products and a dynamic, winning culture.

We are looking for a driven, dynamic individual to be a part of our Program Management team. As a Technical Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in maintaining our product leadership position by managing programs to develop new products and features to realize our product roadmaps.  The role is highly cross-functional comprising of managing matrixed teams of engineering, process technology, marketing, software, platform, services, supply chain, and manufacturing to achieve program objectives. The role also provides opportunity of working with the management to influence decision making. This is an individual contributor role with visibility and exposure to multiple functions within Lam and Lam’s overall business in general.    

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop program plans and oversee from conception and planning to implementation, including strategies, processes, and resources. Ensure that objectives are clearly defined and aligned across organizations.  Own and drive the program to meet its objectives.
  • Manage program scope, schedule, resources and risks.
  • Interface and coordinate with internal customers to define objectives, provide status updates, and prepare for release and deployment.
  • Drive allocated resources from all the organizations to achieve performance objectives on time and within budget.
  • Provide business process and technical expertise to team on various programs and issues.
  • Identify and resolve potential complications and critical path issues within the program and collaborate with experts to develop solutions for resolution.

Required Skills

  • Excellent project/program management skills with multiple moving pieces.
  • Proven record of leading projects with notable risk and complexity; developing plan and strategy for program execution and risk mitigation.
  • Proficiency in utilizing program management tools to effectively manage resources, identify and communicate bottlenecks.
  • Clear and thorough communications skills, strong problem solving and decision driving skills.
  • Ability to see the big picture and grasp complex interconnections, self-driven with a “bias for action”.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas, often at senior levels, to persuade to adopt a different point of view as needed.
  • Ability to quickly learn technical concepts and how they relate to program objectives.
  • Previous experience in the semiconductor equipment industry is desired.

Minimum Qualifications

BA/BS Engineering or Technical Degree.  MBA is desirable.

Minimum Experience:  5+ Years applicable experience.  Demonstrated management or leadership is preferred.
