This position is a Technical Program Manager role to support the Wet Equipment and Technology Solutions (WETs) business unit as part of the Deposition Product Group (DPG). As a Technical Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact towards maintaining and increasing our product leadership position by managing programs to develop new products and features to realize our product roadmaps. The role is highly cross-functional, comprised of managing matrixed teams of engineering, process technology, marketing, software, services, supply chain, and manufacturing to achieve program objectives. The role also provides the opportunity to work with management to influence decision making. This is an individual contributor role with visibility and exposure to multiple functions within Lam and Lam’s overall business in general.
While this is a program manager role with responsibility to coordinate and manage using influence, the expectations of this position are similar to an engineer using a "hands-on" approach to achieve results. Strong preference towards individual contributors with a technical background seeking an opportunity to excel in a position requiring both individual contributor technical skills with project manager skills and communicating to influence and accomplish goals and objectives.
What You’ll Do

Responsible for leading engineering projects and supporting engineers who are develop, improve and sustain the Lam Sabre 3D product lines. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating project plans, conducting project/engineering reviews, tracking progress, communicating status, escalating and closing gaps, monitoring/controlling budget, and supporting a variety of engineering tasks to achieve a number of successful product and feature launches within the context of Lam’s Product Development and Release process.
- Proven ability in leading, running, overseeing and directing semiconductor equipment engineering programs and projects of varying size from inception to successful completion.
- Planning and scheduling project goals, milestones and deliverables
- Creating strategies for contingency planning and risk mitigation
- Resource allocation and schedule alignment
- Identifying & solving project issues effectively and expeditiously
- Managing conflicts and gaps in resources (human, budget, time)
- Manages the development and implementation process of Lam products and services.
- Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products.
- Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending.
- Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints.
- Works independently and recommends methods and creative solutions to solve problems.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering, Science, Operations Management, or equivalent with 5+ years industry experience, preferably in Hardware and/or Software Engineering
- 3+ years managing projects across multiple stakeholders
- Experience working with/on cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); MS Project a plus
- Knowledge of managing programs within product lifecycle processes
- Preferred Qualifications
- PMP Certification (acquired or in progress)
- Experience in program management across multiple products, and flexibility to work on programs or projects across products, if called upon to do so.
- Direct experience managing program through the phases of PDR process from development through release to manufacturing
- Expertise with project management software and tools including MS Project, QuickBase, Office Timeline, or equivalent.
- Experience in Change Management methodologies is a plus.
