Job Responsibilities

Technical Program Manager position opening is in ALD/CVD Metals Business Unit of Deposition Product Group (DPG). DPG has a proven track record of constant innovation that has resulted in a market leading suite of technology enabling products and a dynamic, winning culture.

We are looking for a driven, dynamic individual to be a part of our Program Management team. As a Technical Program Manager you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in maintaining our product leadership position by managing programs to develop new products and features to realize our product roadmaps. The role is highly cross-functional comprising of managing matrixed teams of engineering, marketing, software, platform, services, supply chain, manufacturing to achieve program objectives. The role also provides opportunity of working with the management to influence decision making. This is an individual contributor role with visibility and exposure to multiple functions within Lam and Lam’s overall business in general.    

  • Excellent project/program management skills with multiple moving pieces.
  • Proven record of leading projects with notable risk and complexity; developing plan and strategy for program execution and risk mitigation.
  • Proficiency in utilizing program management tools to effectively manage resources, identify and communicate bottlenecks.

Other Job Responsibilities

  • Develop program/project plans and oversee from conception and planning to implementation, including strategies, processes, and resources. Ensure that objectives are clearly defined and agreed to across the organizations.
  • Manage program scope, schedule, resources (manpower and controllable budget) and risks.
  • Interface and coordinate with internal customers to define objectives, provide status updates, and prepare for release and deployment.
  • Drive allocated resources from all the organizations to achieve performance objectives on time and within budget.
  • Provide business process and technical expertise to team and other members on various significantly complex programs/issues.
  • Identify and resolve potential complications and critical path issues within the program and collaborate with experts to develop solutions for resolution.
  • Clear and thorough communications skills, strong problem solving and decision driving skills.
  • Ability to see the big picture and grasp complex interconnections, self drive, and “a bias for action”.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas, often at senior levels, to persuade to adopt a different point of view as needed.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, process/product support technology, mechanical/electrical systems. Previous experience in the semiconductor equipment industry is desired.

Minimum Qualifications

This is an individual contributor role and relies heavily on managing teams through influence. The role is for managing product development programs in semiconductor equipment development space, hence heavily hardware development focused (and not software/IT focused).

Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 6 year experience; or equivalent experience
