What You’ll Do

• Drive new mechanical developments in concept and feasibility state referring to fundamental new approaches for future applications.
• Involve problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration with other specialists to bring ideas from concept to reality.
• Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, evaluation, and validation to a diverse audience in design reviews.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure solutions can be manufactured with high-quality, cost-optimized, and to requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to more junior engineers.

Who We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

• University master degree in Mechanical Engineering or Physics
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in the semiconductor industry
• Strong analyzing skills and numerical ability
• Good oral and written communication skills in English
• MS Office knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the semiconductor industry
• Experience with CAD, Inventor or NX (or similar CAD software) is beneficial
• Technical knowledge of mechanical design and simulations/calculations is beneficial

What We´re Offering

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group F depending on education.  A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
