Fluids/Mechanical Engineer (all genders)

Job Responsibilities
- Participates in the conceptualization, modeling, analysis, development, documentation, and test/validation of hardware associated with new semiconductor equipment.
- Designs parts using metals, ceramics, quartz, plastics, and advanced coatings/plating’s. Work with potential suppliers to ensure parts can be manufactured in accordance with quality, performance and cost objectives.
- Ensures documentation is consistent with given Standards.
- Performs analytical work to characterize and properly specifies new and existing designs, including heat transfer, stress, vibrations, fluid/gas dynamics and manufacturability.
- Develops, executes and presents test-plans which validate the performance of drafted designs.
- Prepares all required deliverables and documentation requested by product development plan (e.g. FMEA, technical specifications, risk analysis, test specifications, design review presentations)
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
- Professionally represents the company to the customer.
Minimum Qualifications
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (ex. chemical or another engineering discipline with focus on thermo-fluids)
- Hydraulic- and fluids knowledge
- Basic skills on common CAD tools (AutoCad, NX, Inventor)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- MS Office knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Semiconductor industry would be an asset
- Skills in MATLAB and Simulink
- Communication skills in German would be an asset, but not requirement
Employment in Austria
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group F. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
