In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry. 

 

What You’ll Do

  • Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting the company infrastructure business processes and operations. Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software. Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems with automated systems solutions.

 

In addition:

  •  Create and update training content according to the business need and priorities.
  • Support BU's on upcoming demand in terms of technology programs & innovations.
  • Responsible for preventive maintenance and periodically / checks of the IT infrastructure in: EMEA to ensure business continuity.
  •  Ensure that improvements, outages etc. are managed without lowest business disruption. For infrastructure projects deliver result within planned time.
  • Initiate improvement requirements with regional / global Team
  • Ensure maintenance cycles + contracts
  • Evaluate general infrastructure (Network) performance improvements. Ensure that infrastructure adheres corporate standards and guidelines.
  • Manage infrastructure component changes
  • Procurement of equipment, management of maintenance contracts and licensing
  • Implementation and supporting of network designs (LAN/WLAN/WAN), including technical documentations
  • Contribution and active interaction with Global Infrastructure Team.

 

Who We’re Looking For

  • HTL or Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
  • Good knowledge of operating system principles 
  • Ability to establish successful relationships in a multicultural environment
  • Structured Working Style (attention to details)
  • High degree of initiative, flexibility, and ability to work in a team

 

What We're Offering

This position will be occupied in Villach. It is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group D or E depending on educational background.  A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise and skills.
