Job Description

  • Coordinates purchasing activities with planning, engineering and Supply Chain departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner.
  • Works with the ERF Portal System to review and analyze requests for engineering material
  • Processes engineering requests by requesting quotes to suppliers, selecting the most appropriate one based on lead time/cost, creating/maintaining master data and finally placing PO following the predefined commodities sourcing strategies and deadlines.
  • Works with the corresponding Material Program Manager and/or Supplier Business Manager in case where the sourcing strategy for a part is not clearly defined.
  • Works with the Buyer Dashboard Portal to process, follow up on and maintain Purchase Orders.
  • Starts and coordinates escalation process in case no appropriate delivery dates are agreed with supplier.
  • Provides regular updates to the corresponding program managers, planners and project services representatives regarding material shortages that may have an impact on the project timelines.
  • Requests and supports new supply sources, where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.
  • Interacts closely with suppliers and requestors and coordinates efforts in order to achieve required need dates.
  • Works as the point of contact between supplier and engineering to clarify procurement and potential quality issues.
  • Regularly monitors, tracks and communicates predefined metrics.
  • Requires domestic or global expertise of assigned commodities.

 

Required Qualification

  • Commercial or Technical education (HAK/HTL) minimum, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 2-3 Year Experience in Planning/Purchasing or Supply Chain Management
  • MS office skills
  • ERP/SAP skills preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

 

Details according to the Austrian general equal treatment act:
This position is subject to the AUSTRIAN Collective Bargaining Agreement for employees in the Metal Technology Industries in occupation group E. The minimum annual salary for the position (m/f) is 34.826,54 EUR gross based on a full-time employment. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise and skills.
