Software Quality Assurance Engineering Intern - Summer 2025

The Impact You’ll Make

We are seeking a software quality assurance (QA) intern with a strong background in engineering concepts to help deliver our 3D semiconductor modeling software. You will be embedded in a collaborative software development team that is following the Scrum agile development process. Through daily engagement with the developers, you will play a critical role in helping us deliver quality software on Windows, Linux and web platforms. This is an intern position for Summer 2025.

What You’ll Do

  • Validate the operation and functionality of our 3D modeling environment and web applications
  • Author technical reports summarizing software defects and enhancement requests
  • Identify, design, create and maintain end-to-end test cases for automated functional regression test suites for desktop and web applications.
  • Collaborate with software developers and the QA team to isolate and resolve defects
  • Participate in planning and design discussions with the software development team

Who We’re Looking For

  • Current Ph.D. or M.S. student in Computer, Electrical, Materials Engineering or equivalent discipline. Exceptional B.S. students may be considered. 
  • B.S. or equivalent course work in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Solid understanding of fundamental computer principles
  • Proficiency with both Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Detail-oriented individual who enjoys systematically exploring engineering software
  • Team oriented personality with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Preferably: Knowledge on semiconductor fabrication methods.
