• Expert in Dielectric Dep to support 3D NAND R&D on Strata GXE/HX.
• Strata is expected to generate half of our DPG revenue the next couple years, at about $500M.  AMAT’s latest tool is on the ground for a H2H with a dedicated new support staff that they have been trying to supplement by poaching from our team.
• Other teams in the YMTC AT are working to support Strata H2H tangentially:
  • The Strategic Collaboration initiative to co-optimize DPG and EPG apps is underway to work on co-optimizing Tier Stack Dep with other key apps like Channel Hole and Slit Etches.
  • The SPEED team will be focusing on Strata first amongst the Dep tools in an effort to differentiate via installed base performance.

Leadership

• May own customer/site KPIs. Provides technical instruction and leadership on installs, repairs, operations and calibration.  Coordination of application of new procedures.
• May provide on-site instruction to sub-contractors and customers.
• Work closely with FSE on complex problems which impact process output
• Defines general engineering approaches as well as specific solutions.
• May execute fundamental engineering design and analysis with supervision. 
• Coordinates statistical analysis of failure rates and develops CIP
• Provides input to Lam Management on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of and for Lam products 
• Works closely with Field Service, Tech Support, Sales and Corporate Engineering as well as customers to understand customer issues and demands in order to anticipate and report those to set objectives and procedures to achieve the need.
• Advises to effect design changes. Regularly contributes to key technical solutions, technology and process development.  Monitors/analyses equipment performance trends

Customer Relations

• Professionally represent the company to the customer. Utilize knowledge of company’s product lines and services to keep existing / potential customers informed when new/additional needs are identified.
• Work closely with customer to understand customer issues and demands.
• Initiate process projects and manage customer and product group to drive to closure.

Expertise in Dep at Lam.
