The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.

 

The Impact You’ll Make

Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma). Diagrams and evaluates existing processes. Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams. Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities. Collects data to identify root cause of problems. Measures performance against process requirements. Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls. Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality. May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control. Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes. Communicates team progress. Performs cost and benefit analyses. Employees at the highest levels typically have Six Sigma Black Belt or Master certification.

What You’ll Do

We are seeking an experienced, data savvy Spare Planning Supervisor to join our Spares Planning Team. This critical position will partner with internal and external customers and Global Spares Planning team. He or she will be responsible to optimize the regional spares parts forecasting, inventory management including consignment, and order fulfillment in SAP and Service Parts Management (SPM) systems by identifying and pursuing improvement opportunities using appropriate tools and accumulation of subject matter expertise. Manage people and KPIs while ensuring seamless operation and troubleshooting when issues arise.  The position will lead, participate, and manage in the assigned projects with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment to resolve problems and to support continuous improvement. 

This position will be located in Japan, Shin-Yokohama.

Who We’re Looking For

Bachelor's Degree

l   Eight (8) years’ experience in a similar role or equivalent experience

l   Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese in working cross functional team located in different countries.

l   Strong communicator capable of developing and delivering compelling arguments and presentations.

l   Advanced analytical skills to interpret and utilize data for decision support.

l   Customer focus (internal and external), critical thinking and creative problem solving.

l   SAP experience  / Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power Point and creating and giving presentations.
