Job Title:

HRBP & L&D Lead (manager level role)

About this role:

HRBP & L&D Lead is responsible for providing support to align business objectives with employees through partnership with business managers and driving talent development activities in Japan in cooperation with the central learning & organization development team based in US. It is critical to have a strong learning and organization development capability within Japan HR team so that HR helps develop a scalable organization to be competitive in the challenging business environment. This position reports to Senior Director, Human Resources for Japan.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with managers to provide support for the respective organizations to optimize their resource to achieve the business goal
  • Work together with local HR team as well as business leaders to support implementation of initiatives and activities
  • Interact and build relationships with COEs and global HR team to effectively manage HR activities and development programs
  • Meet additional needs by conducting needs assessments, and designing, developing and managing nontechnical skills training and development courses for internal staff to support business growth and strategic initiatives
  • Help determine effectiveness of proposed development programs and give feedback to COEs
  • Effectively facilitate courses, group meetings, and other sessions and conduct follow up to determine applicability of course material
  • Partner with other HRBPs to identify resources for customized individual development and create individual development plans for leaders

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree
  • HR Generalist experience and/or HR manager experience
  • Experience in designing and implementing training programs
  • Knowledge on labor law and legal practices
  • Fluency in English communication (written & spoken).
  • High-tech/semicon industry preferred
  • International company working experience is preferred.
  • Can accept travel
